Who we are

Permacare (“Permacare,” “we,” “us”) is a licensed life insurance brokerage located at 1190 Winterson Rd, Linthicum Heights, MD 21090. This policy explains what information we collect through permacareco.com (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site or submitting your information to us, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to help you with life insurance.

Information you give us. Your name, phone number, email address, and anything you choose to tell us when you request a quote or send a message. The quote form may also ask for the amount of coverage you want, your age, whether you use tobacco, and an optional note about your health.
Account information. If you are a client, we keep your sign-in details and the policy information shown in your Permacare account, such as the carrier, coverage amount and premium.
Information collected automatically. Basic technical data such as your device type, browser, pages viewed and approximate location, gathered through cookies and similar tools.
Notifications. If you choose to turn on push notifications, we store the identifier your browser or phone gives us so we can send them.

Please do not send us Social Security numbers, bank or card numbers, or detailed medical records through the quote or contact forms. If we need sensitive details to complete an application, we will collect them directly through the insurance carrier’s secure application.

How we use your information

To contact you about your quote request, including by phone, text message and email.
To compare insurance carriers and prepare quotes and recommendations for you.
To submit an application to an insurance carrier at your request, and to service your policy afterward.
To run your online account and send reminders you have asked for, such as a payment due notice.
To improve the Site, keep it secure, and meet legal and regulatory requirements.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to serve you:

Insurance carriers and underwriters when you ask us to get a quote or submit an application.
Service providers that help us run our business, such as companies that process web forms, host the Site, store account data, manage our client records, send text messages and emails, send notifications, and measure Site traffic. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
Legal and regulatory reasons, such as responding to a court order, an insurance regulator, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
A business transfer, if Permacare is ever sold or merged, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information.

Text messaging. Mobile numbers and text messaging consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

Calls, texts and email

When you give us your phone number and request a quote, you agree that a licensed Permacare broker may call or text you about your request, including with automated technology. Consent is not a condition of buying insurance. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. You can also tell us on a call that you do not want to be contacted again, or use the unsubscribe link in any email.

Cookies and similar tools

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the Site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the Site, such as your account, may not work without them. If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal, we honor it as a request not to sell or share your information.

How we protect your information

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections and access controls on our client records. No website or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as needed to help you, to service any policy we placed for you, and to meet legal, tax and insurance record-keeping requirements. When we no longer need it, we delete it or remove identifying details.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can ask us to stop contacting you. Depending on where you live, state law may give you additional rights, including the right to know, access, correct and delete your personal information, and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. Information we collect in connection with an insurance application may also be covered by state insurance privacy laws and the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, and the insurance carrier will give you its own privacy notice.

Children

The Site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Other websites

The Site may link to other websites, such as insurance carriers. We do not control them and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read their policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Using the Site after an update means you accept the new version.
